Dry Cleaning (GB) je britanski art rock sastav koji su osnovali gitarist Tom Dowse, bubnjar Nick Buxton i basist Lewis Maynard, dugogodišnji prijatelji i glazbeni suradnici. Na njihov poziv pridružila im se Florence Shaw – vizualna umjetnica, istraživačica slika i predavačica crtanja, sa svojim specifičnim spoken word stilom. S jasnim utjecajima bendova poput The Feelies, The Necessaries, The B-52’s i Pylona, stvaraju jednostavnu i direktnu glazbu, lišenu svega suvišnog.

Do danas su za cijenjenu izdavačku kuću 4AD objavili dva albuma pod producentskom palicom Johna Parisha, dugogodišnjeg suradnika PJ Harvey: New Long Leg (2021) i Stumpwork (2022), oba izuzetno dobro prihvaćena od kritike. Prošle godine uslijedilo je i remasterirano reizdanje njihovih prvih EP-a, Boundary Road Snacks and Drinks / Sweet Princess (2024), povodom čega je bend krenuo na veliku američku i europsku turneju, u sklopu koje stižu i u Split.

Dry Cleaning (GB) are a British art rock band formed by guitarist Tom Dowse, drummer Nick Buxton, and bassist Lewis Maynard, longtime friends and musical collaborators. At their invitation, Florence Shaw – a visual artist, picture researcher, and drawing lecturer – joined them, bringing her distinctive spoken word style. With clear influences from bands such as The Feelies, The Necessaries, The B-52’s, and Pylon, they create music that is simple and direct, stripped of anything superfluous.

To date, they have released two critically acclaimed albums on the esteemed label 4AD, both produced by John Parish, a longtime collaborator of PJ Harvey: New Long Leg (2021) and Stumpwork (2022). In 2024, they released the remastered reissue of their first two EPs, Boundary Road Snacks and Drinks / Sweet Princess, which prompted the band to embark on an extensive US and European tour, now bringing them to Split as well.
