Formed in 2013 in Strasbourg, the Adastra Quartet claims a very open approach to music, not hesitating to be associated with projects taking it beyond the classical framework - into the worlds of jazz, theater, or contemporary art.

Between modernity and eclecticism, through a strong and unique sensitivity, the Adastra quartet interprets the great works of the repertoire and is part of a process of creation and transmission.

Selected to participate in the “Tremplin pour Jeunes Quatuors” of the Philharmonie de Paris as part of the 2016 String Quartet Biennale, the Adastra Quartet is regularly invited to international festivals. He received the Audience Award and the Young Audience Award at the Moments Musicaux du Tarn in 2017. In 2018 he is laureate of the Fond'action Alsace.

Trained with the Debussy Quartet, several times scholarship holder of the Academy and Music Festival in Flaine, the quartet joined the Proquartet institution and had the honor of working with Yovan Markovitch, Luc-Marie Aguera (Ysaÿe Quartet) and Irvine Arditti. He met Hatto Beyerle within the European Chamber Music Academy (ECMA) and improved his skills with the great masters of the genre (Quartets Alban Berg, Danel, Manfred, Parisii and Ludwig).

The Adastra quartet is already produced or has collaborated with many artists and composers such as Pascal Dusapin, Philippe Manoury, Pascal Contet, José-Maria Gallardo del Rey, Armand Angster, Pascal Schumacher, Laurent Wolf, Andréa Ferréol, Léopoldine HH...
